Privacy Policy — BeatFeet Pro

This Privacy Policy describes how the BeatFeet Pro mobile application (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use it. The App is published by Beatfeet PTY LTD and is intended for use with BeatFeet hardware accessories.

1. Summary

The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to us or to any third party. All settings, kit configurations, and recorded loops stay on your device. We do not run analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

2. Permissions We Request

The App requests the following permissions only to operate its core features. None of this data leaves your device.

  • Bluetooth (scan, connect) — used to discover and pair with BeatFeet hardware and Bluetooth MIDI devices.
  • Location (approximate / fine) — required by the Android operating system to perform Bluetooth Low Energy scans on Android 11 and earlier. The App does not read, store, or transmit your location. No GPS coordinates are collected.
  • Wi-Fi state & network — used to detect the local network and communicate with BeatFeet hardware that connects over Wi-Fi. No data is sent to remote servers.
  • Modify audio settings & wake lock — used to provide low-latency audio playback and to prevent the screen from sleeping during a performance.
  • Internet — used only to communicate with BeatFeet hardware on your local network. The App makes no calls to remote servers operated by us.

3. Data We Collect

We collect no personal data. Specifically:

  • No account or sign-in is required.
  • No analytics, telemetry, or crash-reporting SDKs are integrated.
  • No advertising identifiers are read.
  • Audio captured by the looper, kit configurations, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Android’s standard SharedPreferences and file storage. They are not uploaded.

4. Data Shared with Third Parties

None. Because no data is collected, none is shared.

5. Children’s Privacy

The App is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13. If you believe the App has obtained such information, please contact us and we will investigate.

6. Security

Because the App stores data only on your device and does not transmit it externally, the security of that data depends on the security of your device. We recommend using a device lock and keeping your device’s operating system up to date.

7. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. You can clear all locally-stored App data at any time through Android’s Settings → Apps → BeatFeet Pro → Storage → Clear data.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above and post the new version at the same URL. Material changes will also be noted in the App’s release notes on Google Play.
